Contour Countess

Sometimes I just like to treat myself to something luxurious every now and again, Maybe just a little more than I should. But having the Australian dollar price tag most high end make-up isn't as desired
So I was so surprised when I found this little high and fine eyeliner gift set by Marc Jacobs for the price I just had to have it. To me I thought this was such great value.
In this gift set there was a total of 4 eyeliners two High liners eyeliners in the shades : out of the blue and Ro(cocoa) both weighing at 0.37g also in the gift set where two fine liner eyeliners shades Blacquer and (nude)ist these weighing in at 0.04g a tad disappointing on the weight spectrum but they are samples after all.
I was in the market for some new eyeliners so it was worth while at the time of purchase the gift set was 44 au dollars so they work out at 11 dolour’s each.

I could go in to the packaging but hey they are deluxe mini size samples, there exact replicas of the full size ones I hope, I haven’t seen the real size ones in person so I’m going off the cuff on that one, Marc Jacob's packing to me is so luxe its always so shiny these eyeliners are silver and black just so pretty.
Both Fine and the High liners pencils are mechanical so twist for product I’m not too sure of this is the exact same for the full size ones. Let’s talk more about the actually product as that’s what we are here for.

FINE LINER : Blacquer and (Nude)ist
The product does seem a little hard and a little scratchy when I have applied this in to my water line, But for above the lash line and under the bottom lash line it worked well.
The fine tip makes it perfect for little detail work I found it perfect for the above lash line without it looking to thick. When it came to smudging it out for a Smokey affect it blended well, I did have to work a little quickly as it was setting but not overly fast I think it was more the thickness of the product.

Now the only issue I had with it I'm not too sure if it’s the products fault or just my overly sensitive eyes but both the blaccquer and nudesit fine liners did not stay in my water line at all both disappeared I would say within an hour I would be lucky to get two hours of this staying put on my water line. This is not conclusive sorry I really do struggle with this due to my overly watery eyes.
The black I did notice stayed black all day, it didn’t change colour at all and it did wear well throughout the day. I didn’t notice it smudging or running at all. It pretty much stayed put all day it was great to be able to wear a black eyeliner and not have to baby sit it through out the day or check on it in case I was walking around like a panda which no one want’s.

The nudeist shade in the fine liner this one I only ever used it in my water line, being nude what else could I do with it? Really It’s nude? Sorry I can’t really give much more details on it apart from that. I did decide to use it to outline / over draw my lips and it worked a treat to be honest it worked better than my normal lip liner pencils
                             Fineliner _ (nude)ist  and Blacquer
Highliner in Ro(cocoa) and Out Of The Blue

HIGH LINER : Out of the blue & Ro(cocoa)
This one I really enjoyed the colour it worked perfect for most of my colour combo shadows just added this to the lower lash line smudged it out with some brown shadow and I had my self a work appropriate Smokey eye. Product wise it’s not as hard as the fine liner which was great it is very pigmented and very workable I have used this both top and lower lash line to create a full look. Again this one stayed put for the day and didn’t really wear at all form what I could see and it did not discolour at all. Again I did try this in the water line and I could not justify the lasting power as it did wear of pretty quickly, again over sensitive eyes does not help.
I really want to repurchase the fine liner I could really use a fine liner for extra detail work, it would be well used. I will defiantly be purchasing the full size one. For the other shades not so much not that they didn’t perform I just don’t have a use for the other colours in my makeup collection.
A side not to any MUA out there I would not recommend these for use in a makeup kit as you cannot sanitizes them at all there are all mechanic so there is no way you can sharpen them at all sadly I think this would be the only down side to both of these eyeliners is they are mechanic. I would love to hear from anyone that has the full size products of both of these eyeliners to see of they are mechanic. Or maybe you have your own thoughts on these eyeliners I would love to hear from you too.

Until next time love cc xoxo

Hello gorgeous people! Hope everyone is doing well and happy. A month ago I was going through my makeup draws and noticed that I had severely hit pan on my Nars luguna bronzer powder and when I mean I hit pan there was no product left it is pretty much gone besides what is stuck to the edges of the corner of the pan. And I wasn’t kidding myself in trying to be able to even get the product out some how. I don’t know if it is just me but at times when this happens and I get to this point with not only this product but other powders I do find that there very less pigmented and not workable, is it just me being a snob ? Please let me know if you notice this too?
Well is it obvious that I was in the market for a new bronzer, now the thought to purchase the original one was in the back of my mind but I just wasn’t ride or die for it so lucky for me this one was at my local mecca cosmetica. Like all beauty junkies I had a little play and a little chat to the sales assistant and it happened.

Now do we really need to talk about the Nars packaging of their powder products, and yes the rubber texture compact drive’s me nuts when it gets all my dirty foundation finger prints on it. Other then that I do love the sleek black compact packing.

So one of the reasons why I did have to have a think and a play with it in store was that I’m not a ride or die fan of the original one. Why? Well I found that the colour at times is a little muddy on me and the application a little choppy most of the times. I noticed it tends to break up on me as well. So I wanted to check out the formulation before purchasing and I did like what I felt of course.
The product its self feels very finely milled witch gives it’s a silky texture to touch. I found this product less chalky and more of a smooth consistency then the originally call me crazy the undertone of it seems to be a little more neutral then the original still very close in comparison If you held the two together .There is absolutely no presence of glitter at all I couldn’t see any glitter across the other shades. Application wise it was a dream to blend I found it quite effortless it applied so smoothly didn’t appear to be choppy, and it really did give of the natural sun kissed glow. You can easily build this up for a more structured contour look if you wanted it’s very easy and that’s how I have been wearing it of course. It did not appear choppy at all as a bronzer or as a contour and it did not appear muddy throughout the day ether.
I found it applies so smoothly and sits so well on the skin you can get it to sit so naturally by running the brush through to the out perimeters of your face for that naturally sunkissed glow and work it in to a contour. Again I found this product to be very versatile to be able to use it lightly to heavy handed with a great natural look. I did have to work a little to build this product up for a contour That being said this is more of a diffused version so a softer lighter version of the original.
I defiantly think this bronzer would be great for contour begins it really is fail safe. So far I’m loving this product for everyday use for work and little casual outings. I’m looking at getting a dark shade to add to the collection. So overall I’m loving this one it has won over the original in my books.
Have you tried this one? Or maybe you are a ride or die fan of the original Nars Bronzer? I would like to know either way.
Love CC xoxo

Welcome back lovers something a little differently from me a little extension the my last blog post on the EVO happy campers hair conditioner this time it’s the EVO shampoo – Normal persons
It has been so long in between shampoo updates. I have been using a body shop shampoo for so long now it has been well over a year now. To be able to switch it up is fantastic. So this opportunity was not going to be wasted at all.

Let’s get into the packaging I’m not too sure if you would call them quotes or blubs but each product has a different one and they are worth the read. Apart from that the packaging alone it is a basic white but I will say that the shape of the bottle is very unique and sturdy. And the little blubs really stand out with the bold colours.

“Normal persons shampoo is practically Latin for smart-thinking hair care brand that jumps on the bandwagon and makes a good shampoo”

The smell I really wish I could describe the smell but it’s far from floral, it was so fresh that it really smells invigorating. For those that love to gym it and shower at the gym this would be perfect or those morning ladies that love to wash their hair of a morning. It was the freshest smelling shampoo I have smelt for a while. It’s defiantly different compared to all the pretty floral scents that most shampoos are
Is it just me or do other people judge a shampoo purely on lather alone? I have been disappointed with some shampoos in the past purely on their lather. Well this one doesn’t disappoint in that area at all my last shampoo that I used lacked in this area.
After washing my hair it smells like I have walked out of the hair dressers and know that not only this shampoo but this brand is obviously trusted by saloons as I have seen this brand in so many around in my area.

The shampoos states that this shampoos gently cleanses and removes product build up and that the combined protein and anti-Sebum agent is to give a oil free coat and a balanced scalp. I believe this is true I defiantly felt my hair stayed cleaner for longer as well. And the built up product was defiantly removed.

This product and the happy campers really worked well together, usually after I wash my hair the next day it is very static and frizzy both these products really reduced this with my hair. And made it more manageable the day after.
Another thing that I noticed was the reduction of dandruff, which I think what not so much dandruff but product build up.

I have been completely happy with this products that I would be completely happy to repurchase it again or any other products from this brand. Feel free to comment nay haircare tips below I would love to know.
Love CC xoxo
