Contour Countess

Now as if this wasn’t one of the cult products of 2017 everyone was wanting, wanting to try it or raved about it. Well the only reason why I got it was when Mecca Maxima opened up where I live and I was able to finally play around with some shades in store. If it never opened I wouldn’t have owned it. I usually stick with what I know most of the times when it comes to purchasing makeup like foundations and lipstick on line. Too faced is a brand that is pretty new to be to be honest I firstly fell in love with their Matte liquid lips so naturally I thought why not try some other products in their brand. So that is how the foundation came about to me and mostly because so many people rave and go on about it.

Let’s talk the packing, and I’m going to touch base with something that I love that too faced do and I have seen it on two other products that I own of theirs. Now this is on the boxed packing only so you won’t see it on the product itself. But I love how they have their statistics so 100 percent said that the foundation blurred their imperfections. 98 percent said the foundation made them look perfect. I’m not too sure how that’s an appropriate question, and then 97 percent said that this foundation provided natural coverage. It’s a thing I’m not too sure how accurate it is but it is in fact a cute touch. I now it’s on one of their primers as well.

I do have to give it to Too faced for their packing I love there packing combinations and the cute glam effect like the bottle of this foundation. I’m a sucker for black and gold. It defiantly has this glamazon look to the product. And it’s in a frosted glass bottle as well. It has a pump so we can all enjoy that. But for those that like to get every last drop out of the bottle before they purchase a new one. Not sure how you can take the top of it off. I have tried on mine and it won’t budge. Either that or I’m really weak
The product it’s self doesn’t seem to be overly that thick, a little on the thin side really. I am thankful though that there is no over powering scent. I do tend to find that some of their coconut water infused products seem to be heavily scented.

Swatch picture above : Too Faced Born this way fo8undation in Pourclin
When it comes to application I have attempted this both with a brush and a beauty blender. And I have to say for me applying this with a brush doesn’t cut it for me. You can defiantly see the product on top of my skin. For some reason it doesn’t buff into my skin at all it just sits on top. And as for building the foundation up with a brush it just moves the foundation around for me. And then nasty little streak strokes start showing up. So for me a brush is not my preferred way to apply it.
As for the beauty blender this is my preferred way, even though with the beauty blender it does shear the foundation out a little, but it does really push it in to the skin effortlessly. And as for building up the product over top. Again really pushes it in. I have to say for that born this way natural look that 97 percent of people said it does. For this effect for me it has to be done by a beauty blender.

I have found this foundation to wear really lovely throughout the day. No tell-tale signs of movement. I did find the smallest amount of patchiness right near a pimple though. The foundation does have a little bit of luminosity to it. It has slightly gone a little shinier on me throughout the day, nothing that a little bit of blotting can’t fix. I have been quite happy with the application using the beauty blender and the wear of this foundation, The only thing that I have found is that I cannot wear it longer than two days in a row as it does brake me out I’m not so sure sure what it is that does this. I have had this happen with foundations that have SPF in them but from what I can tell this one does not. I will continue using this foundation as I do love it. I can see why they call it the born this way as it does look like your own skin. It’s sad I can’t wear it longer than two days though.
If you have tried the too faced Born this way foundation I would love to her your thoughts on it.
Until next time

Love CC xoxo

Welcome back to all, I do want to apologies on uploading one of these blushes. I really did have the intent of offering a few more shades in this blush range to talk about. And I would love to extend on the shade range but the Australian pricing on these is ridiculous. So I will have to make do for the one shade for the time being.

As always I love to start off with the packaging, this sleek black patent packing is stunning monochrome goals right there! And it just has the little pop of chrome. I absolutely love the rounded edges of the compact. Again with patent packaging comes finger prints, it is what it is though. The plastic feels durable and for the price it doesn’t feel super cheap ether * cough cough Tom ford Bronzer * Its defiantly sleek slim design which makes it perfect for a makeup bag, hand bag if you wanted to too travel with it too, in my opinion.

look at the product design, I love this idea of the darker and the lighter shades together. I feel like it makes it personal and custom to each user as you can be as heavy handed in the areas you want, from the lighter end to the darker end. It’s like owning two blush shades in one. Now this is another purchase that I didn’t get to see in person too swatch, I pretty much winged it to be honest and with a shade name like Kink and Kisses , I had a laugh ! And thought why not that one. Yep I purchased this blush purely for the shade name alone. It makes picking out products fun.

This shade is a pretty light combo in its self, for me I wouldn’t want to go any lighter. But when applied it does give off this natural flush to the checks, and that’s using the lighter end of the pallet. With the darker end it’s more of a peach pink I would say. For me to compare the shades to any other blush it really reminds me of orgasm blush without the gold hue, if that makes any sense.

Swatch picture above : Shade is Kink And kisses

Application is dreamy, this product is soft and easy to apply, no kick back from your brush in the blush pan. I found it easy to build up for more colour which is something you want in a blush. You need to be able to build it up. I do find the lighter end to be quite light that it’s hard to show the swatch. Wear wise it doesn’t oxidise on me and I haven’t noticed it going patchy.

I have really loved this addition to my blush collection and I’m really happy with the colour choice that I made. And the product is beautiful I think its supper pretty and I would be happy to add another one to the family, maybe when Sephora have another site wide sale. The only thing I dislike is the Australian Price tag it retails for $62.00 Australian dollars and in that states its $42.00. Have you thought about purchasing this one or maybe you can agree that Nars orgasm blush is the perfect dupe for this shade. I would love to know if I have discovered a dupe ?Please comment below.

Until next time love cc xoxo

If there is anything that I like too jump on too when it comes to the lead up to Christmas. Is the makeup beauty Christmas gift packs. I think it’s the best time to grab and test out new brands and products that you may have been lusting over as well as getting a little extra with brands that you know and love. Honestly most brands gift packs are great value for money take the Confessions lip set that I picked up from mecca, It was $ 79 Australian dolour’s and in this gift set you receive the lipstick applicator holder and 3 x refillable lipsticks all the shades are limited shades though. Now let me break it down for you if you were to purchase separately. One you would have to purchase a lipstick and the holder together which retails in Australian dollars at $49.00 and add to refills each at $ 32 Australian dollars that’s a grand total of $113.00 . See who thought gift backs were a waste of money. You don’t need to twist my arm for this one.
Hourglass Refill's as pictured above
Hourglass Applicator as pictured above
Now that excitement is over we can we talk about the packaging now. The lipstick applicator holder is so stunning it’s gold and gorgeous and it just gives of this vampy vintage vibe! If Marylin Monroe was alive I feel like this would be in her makeup collection in a red of course. The only thing I do want to advise too the makeup addicts the style and shape of this means it will not sit upright in a lipstick holder. And as for the refills you can easily fit 3 to four in one cube of a standard lipstick holder. And the applicator can be a pretty accent to any dressing table out there if you wish for it to sit out

I don’t know about the whole range but all three in this set are not matte, they are a crème lipstick. Very hydrating on the lips and smooth. With this of course the lipstick will transfer. And over all three shades the product consistency is the exact same across all three shades. There is no floral scent too them. But the scent I do pick up on is a very faint musk stick scent, it’s the only way I can describe it.
These are a thin lipstick and I have found them fantastic for a precise and clean application, the product applies smoothly. You can apply the smallest amount and be able to blend it out for the light wash of colour. There is the slightest feel of stickiness but not a lot that I have really been concerned about. And I hate stickiness in glosses especially so it’s not enough for me to stop wearing these lipstick.

I have found these lovely to wear and very comfortable throughout the day I honestly forget that im wearing them. With it being more of a crème type lipstick they do transfer a lot more so re-application would be in order. Well for me during an average work day. I tend to reapply after 3 hours. Reapplying the product is perfect again it doesn’t ball up or go patchy at all.
As you know there is three in a pack and there all variants of nudes, Just with different undertones so let’s talk about the shades, One Desire , True love means and you are my. Can I just say the names sound like Disney love quotes?
True love means and My one Desire as pictured above
My personal favoritism is my one desire now this would be the Mauve nude in the pack. I love this one it’s my absolute favorite.
Swatch Above is in the Shade My One Desire
This is the other one I love and wouldn’t even think about picking up a nude shade like this one. It’s true Love Means, to me it’s more of a peach undertone nude and this is lovely and it is the lightest one of all three.
Swatch above is in Shade True Love Means
The last one is, You Are My it’s the darkest shade nude of all three and to me the one with more of a red brown under tone to it. It is absolutely lovely and again I would never think about picking up a nude shade like this one. It is in fact very flattering on.
Swatch above is in Shade You Are My
I’m in love with these hourglass Confessions Lipsticks, I have to say I’m looking at expanding the collection just a little maybe only by two shades. Did you pick this gift set up or have you been lusting over these ones are? Please leave a comment below I would love to read your thoughts on these new lipsticks by hourglass.

Until next time love CC xoxox

Another little treat for myself just before Christmas was this little Christmas gift pack that I purchased it’s the Glam glow glow starter. I have been so intrigued with these ever since they came out. But haven’t taken the plunge myself to purchase the full size product. As you know Glamglow in Australia dose have a fairly decent price tag to them and I just couldn’t bring myself to spend that much on something that I really didn’t know if it would fit my needs. Well I’m not talking your average everyday use twice a day moisturizer, these are illuminating moisturizer after all. How practical can they be?

Usually I love chatting about packing but I know this is not the full size packaging, but more of a deluxe sample size. So the full size one is in a jar and these are in tubes. I will say it’s lovely to have a pop of colour once in a while. In this gift set they have provided all three shades of the Glow starter moisturizer, there is Pearl Glow, Nude Glow and Sun glow. The names pretty much speak for themselves. If I can’t talk about the packing lets brake down the shades shall we.

Pearl Glow:
The product is as the name suggest the product does come out white / pearl but never fear once you apply it to the skin it does not show any colour at all. Its still provided the luminous glow underneath makeup. I have enjoyed this one more when I have gone makeup free
Pictured as above Pearl Glow
Nude Glow :
This one is a tricky one once the product comes out it looks slightly pinky, again it does not show up that way at all once applied and rubbed in to the skin. I always pick this one up for under my makeup. It hasn’t altered my skin colour at all that I can tell but it really does have a little skin colour reflection to it.
Pictured as above Nude Glow
Sun glow :
This is the bronze one of the group. When applied it does come out quite bronze but after application it does calm down in colour. So don’t think that it’s going to show up on your skin like it does when you squeeze it out from the tube. It does show up as a bronze glow to the face but nothing really drastic and I’m slightly pale myself and haven’t been scared to use it. It does have just a tiny little but of colour to my face. But not at all noticeable.
Pictured as above Sun Glow
I have found these fantastic for summer I have been using the sun glow, all by its self-nothing more. Besides a little transcalent powder light dusted on the t-zone so I don’t look overly oily or greasy. The one that I tend to always pic up is the Nude glow, not to sure way but I have been using this one quite frequently under my matte foundation, The Fenty beauty one to be exact. Most Matte foundations tend to make me look slightly dehydrated and very flat. With this used under my foundation having it act as a primer. Has really brighten things up, it does give me little dimension to my face which has been fantastic. It’s just given extra life to my skin really it has been fabulous. I will say though after a few hours I do look a lot shinier, especially on the chin area so I need to ensure I have a powder on hand to matte that out just a little. But over all it does sit lovely under foundation and used own its own.

I wouldn’t really invest on all three shades but I would love to add at least one of them to my collection, I would love to get the nude one to add. Have you tried any glamglow products? Maybe you have tried this one? I would love to know your thoughts to on the product comment below.

Until Next time love CC xoxox

If there is a brand that I want to try more of in 2018 and it’s going to be Charlotte Tilbury. Everything that I have purchased so far I have loved. And there is some products that I have my eye on so defiantly watch out for more CT blog posts in the future.

This little review is on her First Instant look palette in Beauty Glow now this treasure is a face palette. In this Palette it consists of 3 eyes shadows, 1 Bronzer 1 blush 1 highlighter and a Check swish ( it’s a CT thing ) . Now to me that’s everything you need and I own some face pallets and they don’t come with eyeshadows. And it’s calming that it’s a 5 minute look in a palette.

Let’s get in to my favourite part the packaging, the outer packaging is the signature Charlotte Tilbury Colours of Chocolate brown and rose gold, its pure elegance really. The palette its self is really durable perfect for the travellers out there, well the makeup obsessed and for the woman on the go. Size wise it isn’t too large at all you can easily hold it in one hand , so again durable enough to have it in your hand bag and it will easily fit most makeup bags too if you want to take it on the go. It’s a clip closure as well so it’s not going to come undone in your hand bag.

The eyeshadows,
As I mentioned before there is 3 eyeshadows in this face palate now there is no visible names listed of what the shades are called. But they are listed under instruction names so there is Brighten, Enhance and Smoke. The brighten shade in the pallet is a Champagne shimmer there is no lose glitter at all it has pigmentation to it and blends like a dream. This shade I always use all over the lid right up to the brow bone.

Then we have Enhance it looks like a light brown but it has this peachy under tone to it when switched. Again it’s a shimmer I do wish this shade was a litter darker it’s very on par with the first shade. Just more of a peachy colour really. When applied it still turns out pretty light as well. This one I use on my mobile lid and blend up to the crease.

The last of the three is Smoke, This shade is the only matte shade there is and it’s a chocolate brown. For a matte it doesn’t feel chalky at again this one has the pigmentation to it and is very buildable and bendable. This shade I use two was, I push it in to my lash line and blend slightly for a smoke effect. Or I add it to the outer corner of my eyes and blend up in to the socket for an up lifting effect.
Eye Shadow swatches aboe  - from left to right : Brighten , Enhance and Smoke
 Bronzer and Highlighter
For the bronzer in the pallet the shade is a great contour colour as it doesn’t have that muddy look about it. The shade it’s self is a little light for my liking but it does give off this natural subtle look though. The product again very buildable and bendable and the product pigmentation is on point. I will say a little of this one does go a long way. I’m use to my bronzer being a little dark but I do love the look of this one on the skin.

The highlighter is lighter than the brighten eyeshadow in the pallet it’s more of a cream off white highlighter with a gold undertone. It’s not a in your face highlighter but it does give your skin this natural luminosity to it. This one doesn’t have any glitter to it that I can see nothing chunky to be exact. Blends like a dream and again a little does go a long way. but as it’s a very light highlighter I cannot be to heavy handed with it as it’s a little lighter them my own skin tone.
Swatches as Above left to Right - Bronzer and Highlight
Blush and Checks Swish
The blush I find gorgeous I do tend to pick up this type of shade of blush. It’s a gorgeous pink blush, when you apply it, It Really does show up as a natural flush on the checks. And your really don’t need much of this product at all. It is buildable but you really don’t need to build it up at all. The pigmentation is there of course. And you guessed it, it blends like a dream, I absolutely love this blush it’s so pretty.

As for the check swish, I really am not too sure what the whole idea is with the check swish the colour is a bit odd to me so to be honest I have not used it for its intended purposes at all. But I have used it more as an eyeshadow though I place it ether on the outer corner and blend though to the socket but have also used it on the lower lash line as well. The pigmentation of this product is there it’s a really lovely shade of brown, like a pink brown or more of a terracotta vibe to it. This one again blends like a dream.

Swatches as above left to right :  cheek sweep and Blush
Over all if I was too travel I would be quite happy to take this pallet with me for the ride , I think I would take an extra palette with more matte shades in it as this is a very shimmery pallet. So if shimmer eyeshadows are so not your thing I would have to say this may not be a face pallet for you. This pallets does get the Handbag test I have been taking this one to work for touch ups or as a just in case precaution when I have had a no makeup day.

As the palette claims to be a 5 minute look in a pallet it does it live up to its claims you ask? I’m going with yes, if you are just putting on a CC cream or a light foundation and your going to use everything else form this pallet then yes it’s possible to do a 5 minute make look with this pallet. I know I can pull a look together with using everything from this palette in 5 mins. Now if you’re going to add fake lashes and wing eyeliner and concealer and get all glammed up then no, sorry this pallet doesn’t do your make up for you.

I will say I have fallen in love with this pallet it’s so easy to use and with the step instructions its full proof and I loved it so much that I brought the Smoky one too! That’s how much I have enjoyed using this pallet it’s been my go to work pallet for well over two months.

That’s it from me, stay posted for the next CT eye shadow pallet review

Love always CC xoxo

Welcome, welcome have you been enjoying my Fenty Beauty February? Well the last instalment of my Fenty beauty review blog series has come to an end. But not just yet, we need to talk about this gorgeous liquid lip first. I promise you I saved the very best for last. Let’s state the obvious, yes there is one shade and one shade only just like the lip bomb. Somehow Ri Ri worked her magic and found a universal lip colour to work with all shades and undertones. Which is a pretty amazing thing right there.

The Fenty beauty lip paint Is a stunning shade of red that they have called uncensored. I want to say it’s a true red it’s a little deeper than that. It’s a red to be reckon with, in my collection. And I have a few reds, it’s nothing compared to red Russian or lady balls by too faced. It’s on a deeper level then those two.

The packaging is truly unique it reminds me of a nail polish bottle, like the Christian Louboutin ones. But I love how you can have this standing up on your vanity. And the chrome wand gives it that extra added luxury feel. I do believe the little pot is glass, I defiantly do not want to test that out anytime soon. And with the pot it does add unnecessary bulk and weight to an evening clutch.
Now if there was one thing that I was a little unsure of was the unique applicator. I have never seen this shape used before at all. And I was a little taken back by it to. I did have a WTF moment when I saw it. Using it really was the most enjoyable way to apply it. And to be able to apply a bright red lipstick with ease, one would think no. seriously the applicator makes this fool proof.

The product alone is nothing that I can compare it too to be honest. The pigment alone is enough to pack a punch and the formal is so creamy it really does just glide on. Again you really don’t need much. Every time I have used this I always wipe away the excess. If there is a tip I can pass on is allow this one to set before moving your lips.
Fenty Beauty Stunna lip Paint applicator as pictured above
The wear test I have added both wearing this too work and out with friends, obvious wearing it out with friends involved a little more effort as eating and drink were involved. Work wise I really loved wearing this too work, in total it lasted 8 hours and really did not need to touch it up at all. It didn’t move for me it really didn’t bleed much to my surprise. It’s my biggest pet peeve when it comes to red liquid lipsticks. I didn’t need to spend the day babysitting it. Fair enough that everything I ate was in fact lipstick appropriate and I always drink out of a straw. But hey it lasted up to 8 hours. The one thing that I did notice and I totally put it down to the air con is that it did feel drying at the end of the day and it did start to feel a little flaky.
Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip paint swatch as pictured above
But compared to a night out with greasy food and drinking it still held its own, I did wear it for less time though. Again no real signs of bleeding or moving. It did slightly bleed out from the corners of my mouth. Again held its own with eating a drinking and I had some greasy food. Again I did not need to sit there a baby sit it at all.

I have to say for a red liquid lip stick I’m in love with this one. I will have to say though who would wear a red lip for 12 hours straight though? I don’t really get that gimmick and to be honest I don’t see a red lip everlasting 12 hours straight on me at all, so I cannot comment on that. But hey if a red lip is going to last a full work day, its perfect in my books. I’m just so happy I have found a red lipstick I can apply and trust. So it’s a love in my books! I want more to be honest. If this is a liquid lipstick formula that Ri Ri has up her sleeve girl better make some more shades because I’m all over it. Would you want more shades in this Fenty beauty Lip paint? Comment below

Until next time

Love CC xoxo

Welcome back all, just the second last installment of my Fenty beauty haul I have to say there is a little story behind this one. The funny thing is I didn’t even think about purchasing this one the first time around. I didn’t have any faith in this one at first glance it’s a lip gloss, I have to say I judged it first go. Only because I have absolutely no faith in lip glosses I am the pickiest person when it comes to them. All the ones I have purchased have been so sticky and they go all gross around the corners of your mouth. The ether peel or ball up throughout the day and look feral. Oh what about when lip glosses are so sticky then your hair gets caught in it, so gross. Oh and some of the glosses I have tried and they taste disgusting. Seriously I gave up on lip glosses a long time ago, even though the whole shiny lip trend is so on point at the moment.

The funny story with this is when I was posting on Instagram all my Fenty beauty purchases I was seeing a lot of people ask me if I had purchased the lip bomb. Which I didn’t and I was seeing a lot of people comment as well how they loved the lip bomb and encouraged me that I need to get it in my life. So like any good blogger sometime you just have to take one for the team, so in November I did what I had to do and purchased the Fenty Beauty glass bomb.
Let me tell you my friends you need to sit down for this one , Now the applicator is doe foot but the beauty about this one is it’s quite large for a lip gloss, remember the tarte shape tape how there doe foot is quite large. Well same concept but scaled down of course. I love the idea of a slightly large doe foot. It does make for a quick and easy application of course. And it’s quite sturdy as well so it’s not going to bend when applying, like some glosses that I have tried.
Fenty beauty : Gloss bomb doe foot applicator as pictured above

There is a slight scent and it reminds me of the smell of too face’s lip injection just a little softer which I found very interesting. There is no strong taste at all or even an after taste that I could pick up on. When applying the gloss it does just glide’s on to the lips so effortlessly, like a hot knife through butter. And the effect is so glossy it truly does give off that glass effect, truly amazing. And the glass bomb feels so light on the lips and with no stickiness you really do forget that you have it on.

It wears great as well, there is no peeling or getting all gross in the corners of your mouth with this one, it just wears so evenly. Yes like all lip gloss products you will a have to reapply throughout the day to keep the shine up. Again reapplication is just as dreamy as the first time you applied it as it just glides on to the lips.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb swatch as pictured above

And the gloss goes great over other lip products as well, I have teamed the lip gloss with just a nude lip liner as well as nude matte lipstick, to give some dimension to my lips and it works just as great with them as it does by its self.

I have to say out of all the Fenty beauty products this one has surprised me the most. I think it generally is because I judge it straight away and to be so impressed by the formula of this product. It truly is what its name is Glass bomb. I now know why so many people were really loving this one from Fenty beauty. And I truly know that there is a lot of people out there are not so in to lip glosses this one is defiantly worth a try. And with this shiny glassy lip trend happening this would be the lip gloss for this desired look hands down. I would love to know your thoughts if you have purchased this one or even thought about it comment below.

Until next time

Here’s to another fenty beauty product, the Fenty Pro filter Soft Mate foundation. This product is certainly was a go to foundation at the end of 2017. I purchased two of these foundations the first one was way to light , But I think the one I have now is spot on maybe just a shade too light but you really can’t tell on my skin tone once I bronze my face. I will say Fenty beauty defiantly did not mess around with the shade range, this would have to be one of the largest shade range’s that have seen in a long time. And usual Australia doesn’t’ get all of the shade’s. This will explain why it toke me two goes to pick the right foundation for me, keep in mind I do not have a Sephora near me so swatching it in person was never going to happen.

The packaging alone is simple and I love the colour combo she has created with the nude blush and the white, it doesn’t show off as little girl’s makeup but more young adult to adult so you can see how this can be aimed at anyone at any age. The foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle so it really does have some weight too it and it does fell and look luxe at the same time. The foundation does indeed have a pump!!! Winning. I fell the pump is a little hard but it is easy to control the amount you want to come out as it does tend to distribute just a little too much for my liking anyway.

Lets get to the nitty gritty, the product. So the foundation its self is a thick consistency which is to be expected from some medium to full converge foundation. To me a little of this foundation does go a long way to be able to easily call it a medium converge. If you are expecting to use this as a full converge foundation then you can build it up pretty easily. But honestly you wouldn’t need to use much to get to a full coverage.

I will say this foundation does set very quickly, that for me using a brush to buff it in was not working in my favour. I highly suggest to work in sections of your face when applying it. I found doing this was giving me ample time to be able to work with it and build it up. For me I found using my beauty blender over a brush when it comes to application, it seems to slow the setting process down just a little bit.

Now the pigment in this foundation is amazing, the product advises that it’s medium to full coverage. With an honest amount of foundation it’s a comfortable full coverage for me. There really is no need for me to build this foundation up at all. It is full matte on me and with wear throughout the day it tends to give of a greasy glow but powder can easily fix that.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Foundation : As pictured above
I haven’t seen this foundation cling to any dry patches on me , but at this stage there really is no concerns like that on my skin any way’s. It hasn’t shown up patchy and there has been no signs of movement at all. And foundations do tend to fade as well around my chin and forehead and everything has stayed put so far. I will advise that I have been using the Fenty primer with this foundation though only In my T zone areas.
Yes the foundation has a slight floral scent to it I can only smell it on application and it dose disappear within minutes, this makes this foundation bearable to wear.

I have to say I’m quite impressed with this foundation, I’m really happy with it I’m in love with the coverage. It maybe a little over the top for work but I’m okay with that. It wears well and it last easily 9 hours with no touch ups. Please note the greasy glow is the only thing that as shown up. Again an easy fix, all foundations do it. And it’s been in the mid 30s where I live and wearing this foundation through a humid kind of heat wave it has held up nicely. So it gets the heat test from me
I’m pretty wrapped in this foundation, I would love to know others thoughts on this one. Maybe you have purchased the Fenty Pro Filter Matte foundation or maybe you have been thinking about it I would love to know so please comment them below.

Until next time

Love CC xoxo

Here we care again, yes I am slowly and surely making my way through my Fenty Beauty Haul you could call it. It’s taken some time but I’m so close to finishing. And yes this is the second last product that I have up my sleeve. On the blog today I will be discussing the Fenty Beauty Pro filter primer. This was released when the beauty brand dropped last year in September 2017. Yes it has taken me a few months to get through them, But I honestly don’t want to try a product once then review it, I like to wear it consistently and try different techniques before I put pen to paper.

Let’s get in to it, Now I did go pretty in depth with the packaging in the Fenty Pro Filter foundation review, so I will try and keep this short and sweet , if you want to read in depth about the packaging I will link my foundation review below for reference. The packing of the Fenty Pro filter primer is exactly the same as the foundation, same bottle same pump. The only exception is the lid. The lid is the gorgeous Blush nude that she has used throughout the new collection. I love how she has used the same bottle and with the addition of the different coloured lid. Of course this would separate the two for any makeup junkie out there to tell the difference. I love how she has thought about the consistency of the shape and colours throughout, So well thought out.

Let’s chat about the primer, this primer is aimed to assist with smoothing and filling of pores, they call it pore diffusing and extended makeup wear. I need to establish I don’t have a pore issues. So I wouldn’t be able to advise if this helps to diffuse them or make them less noticeable.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Primer : As pictured Above
This primer is of a slight thick consistency, again just like the foundation a small amount goes a long way. When applied on the skin it does massage and sinks in to the skin with ease. And you do get this sensation over the top of your skin, like a mixture of silicone or powder, but without the silicone and powder. It really does create a nice canvas for makeup application. This primer is not a luminous primer at all, in my books it’s a matte primer for sure. With every application I have used this primer in my T zone only as that’s where I have my most problems when it comes to lines, movement and of course and oiliness. I will say the one disappointing thing about the product is, the scent hands down it’s a deal breaker for me. I know it’s the same scent in the foundation but it’s so more intense and stronger in the primer and it hangs around for a while too.

I have been wearing this with the Fenty foundation and they do go hand in hand together and with another foundation that I tried with this. The primer does make the longevity of my foundation last longer throughout the day. I had not notice any of the foundation’s I used cake in my T zone. It did minimalize the oiliness throughout the day. It didn’t stop it completely nothing a little blotting couldn’t fix after easily four hours of wear. Again I cannot touch base with the pore side of things. But I did notice that makeup wasn’t showing my dehydration lines at all. So it did help in that department.

The combination of this primer and the Nars shear glow I did found amazing together. I put it down to the primmer as it just made it wear so lovely and the right amount of glow. I will be wearing this primer with the Nars sheer glow more often they are my dream team now.

Now for me I’m not overly wrapped in placing a product on my skin that has a lot of fragrance in them. It does not do my skin any justice, and I do feel for those with acne issues and extremely sensitive skin I really don’t think this primer would do any justice as the fragrance would just irate. So I would proceed with caution. It would have to be one of the better primers that I have used in recent years. It’s not a primer I can use on a daily bases more a primer that I would keep for when I need it the most for parties or events, sadly The fragrance kills it for me though.
I would love to know your thoughts if you have purchased the Fenty Beauty Pro Filter primer or maybe you’re thinking about it comment below I would love to know.

Until next time

Love CC xoxo

Gorgeous people, welcome back hope everyone is going well. My newest review is on the Fenty beauty Matchstick range which I have had in my possession for a few month’s now.

This review has been a long time coming but it’s finally here. When this dropped online I jumped on to the website as fast as I could when it was released. I was in a panic like everyone else, I was doping Fenty beauty products in my cart like I was food shopping.

And I have to say I personally didn’t make any wise choices it was very hard to purchase a brand that I knew nothing about there was no reviews at the time no swatch pictures from my fav bloggers and I don’t have a Sephora near me so I wasn’t able to touch and play with this brand in store. I kind of wished I waited it out to be honest to get more thoughts and research on the shade ranges and products. So I picked up a highlighter and a contour shade in the match stix and if you want to know my thoughts please keep on reading.

Let’s get in to the packing shall we , I absolutely love the colour and texture of the packaging I love this nude blush colour it’s so different I don’t see it getting dirty and if it does the texture of the packing seems to be easy to clean those dirty foundation fingers prints of.

If you hadn’t noticed the match stick products have magnets in the packaging and they stick together. I love this idea I think this is very thought out and well executed. But I think people are only going to benefit from it of they by 3 or more of these match stick to really get the full effect of them sticker together. I love the shape of them I have never seen a stick like product in a packing like this before.

MATCH STIS – BAMBOO

So one of the match stix I purchased was in Bamboo, I was aiming to use this one as a cream contour product. Sadly this one I purchased is no good as a contour stick as it matches my skin perfectly. So what I have been using it for is a concealer / touch up stick.

I love the consistency of the product it’s not too hard that you struggle to blend it and it’s not so soft that you apply way to match. Its juts right that you can apply it directly on to your face and blend from there. I haven’t had any issues with blending this out with my fingers or various beauty tools like brushes and sponges. All of them seem to blend with ease.

The issue I have had with this products is that it broke up on my skin, it goes all patch and settles in the finest of lines and makes my skin look really dry. I have tried everything to stop this. I even tried it without a base and it still broke up and settle in to my fine lines.

MATCH STIX – STIX – STAR STRUCK
The other match stix I purchased was a highlighter it has a pink under tone to it, it’s not overly glittery at all. The texture of this product I do find it to be a little firmer than the other stick. Again easy to blender out but I did struggle with building it up though. The packaging is the same I don’t think there is any need in going in to the specifics again.

It goes on to the skin beautifully and blends nicely but for some reason it just sat really badly on my skin. Again it broke up badly in patches and made my skin look really dry. I was really disappointed in this one.
Star Struck Swatch as Picture above
So I’m sad to say I won’t be purchasing any more of the match stix’s, I do have other products from the Fenty brand that I have been enjoying and love just these ones that I didn’t have any luck with. And sadly I don’t think I will be picking these two up again.
Have you purchased these or anything else from Fenty beauty , I would love to know your thoughts on them.

Until next time Love CC xoxo
